MIRACLES HAPPEN!!!!

Miracles happen, and a miracle happened today! Let me back up to 4 weeks ago. I got a phone call from my OB/GYN, or should I say my previous OB/GYN. I haven't seen him for over two years due to a change in our insurance. He called and said "Jenny, I have a young woman who is looking to place her baby for adoption and I thought of you. Are you interested?" Uh... my response... YES!! Lots of prayers and fasting, crying, and more prayers!

Fast forward two weeks, we met the first half of our miracle. Her name is Rachel, and she is the most amazing person I have ever met. She is beautiful, selfless, incredible, an angel, our miracle. I never thought I would love and adore someone I just met, but I do. She is everything I could have asked for in a birth mother, everything. And even more than that, I feel like I have known her forever, and I think I have. She is a blessing, our miracle.

Fast forward to today. I got the phone call of a lifetime, it was Rachel, she told me I'm going to be a MOMMY!!! What do you say to someone who is going to make you a mom? "Thank you" seems insincere, "I'm so grateful" is not enough, I'm still working on what words have been created to express the most grateful depths of my soul. Our baby girl is coming, did I mention it's a girl?!!! And she's coming in 12 days, I guess now since it's the middle of the night and I can't sleep out of so many emotions, it's closer to 11 days. Rachel is going to be induced on September 29th. We are naming the baby Ellie Maxine, after my sweet grandma Bub. Ellie is coming, and I can't wait to meet the second half of our miracle!!!!

To Rachel, if you read this, LOTS OF LOVE!!!

Oh JENNY & JEREMY!!,
It is not by chance that you and Rachel have found each other and that your little angel will be coming soon! You will be on an emotional roller coaster ride of which will be fast and crazy, exciting and tearful. This blessing of having a new member of your family and the special way that baby "Bubs" will come to you and Jeremy is very sacred. You ARE prepared to be the most wonderful parents, and my prayers will be for Rachel and You as this most unselfish gift is given and as you receive Ellie into her loving earthly home. Much Love, sweet Jenny & Jeremy!
Hugs, Mary Ann

I have goose bumps all over me! And I am really warm right now! I am so excited for you! So, what do you need? I want to help! Only having a few weeks to prepare is crazy! Let me know what you need: stroller, car seat, bottles, blankets, crib... name it! I don't know if we will be able to get a shower together before she comes, so LET ME KNOW! Don't be shy!

Love and best wishes to you all!

CONGRATULATIONS!!! You made me cry... I remember when I got that same phone call... it is so exciting. I totally understand how you feel right now and I have said the exact same things about our birthmom. I love our birthmom so much and I only met her for less than eight hours. I am so happy for you! My only advice is to write EVERYTHING down, as much as you possibly can... and take lots of pictures! Please let me know if you need any baby girl stuff... I had to do the same scramble and I have lots of clothes that she hasn't even worn. Anyways... I am so excited and please let me know if you need anything!

Mindy came home from working a night shift at the hospital and had looked on your blog and said, "Mom you are not going to believe it! Look on Jenny's blog!" I read with tears in my eyes and knew that Heavenly Father does answer prayers and is aware of all of us. The blessing of a family, your little girl, will be so sweet. You are in for the most wonderful, tiring, fun and rewarding experience of your lives! We can't wait to see it happen! Much Love, Dave and Molly and all the Deans!

Jenny and Jeremy,
What a wonderful gift you will receive. There is nothing more unselfish than a birth mother focusing on the future of her baby, and placing that baby in a strong home with loving parents. Our love and prayers are with you both,
Dave and Sharlee

wow...your story brings tears to my eyes...I read your comment that was made to Kimmi and I thought that we had a lot in common, so I thought I would come look at your blog. My husband and I have been married five years next month and were too blessed (in august) with a very unexpected phone call informing us that a birthmother had selected us and that we needed to come meet her the next day, and that we would probably leave with a baby boy. It was crazy...seriously! You can read about it at www.waiting4ourmiracle.blogspot.com I am excited to be able to follow your blog and look forward to your posts. Thanks for shring your story
